The name’s Decay.
I explore abandoned places worldwide and film them. Schools, malls, hospitals, theaters, churches, homes, hotels, theme parks, whatever’s actually worth seeing.
I grew up around Chicago. “Decaying Midwest” started as a location thing—I was just filming what was around me. The name stuck even after I started exploring worldwide.
Never thought I’d be doing this. Started with one building. Now I’m traveling the world documenting abandoned places.
Age? Depends who you ask. News says 28. Famous Birthdays says 25. My profile says 64. I’m not correcting any of them.
I’m not here to lecture you or pretend I’m perfect. I just document what’s there before it’s gone.
No vandalism. No theft. No breaking anything. Take only pictures, leave only footprints. That’s the Urbex rule.
I research every spot, shoot photos and video, and work with property owners when I can.
When I’m not on the road, I’m editing, researching, or linking up with other explorers and people who actually care about these unique locations.
